A new version of WordPress was released today. Apparently it’s the last update before the big 2.1 release with new features.

Here’s the changes they list for the 2.0.6 release:

• Security fixes.
• HTML quicktags now work in Safari browsers.
• Comments are filtered to prevent them from messing up your blog layout.
• Compatibility with PHP/FastCGI setups.

I’ve been wanting to try running PHP with Fast CGI for my sites, so maybe I’ll give that a try and see if there’s some performance improvement. I think several hosts offer that option, I know Dreamhost does.
