I’m working on it this weekend. Not much will change with the basic version of the theme other than a new archives file because the old one has issues with the new WordPress 2.1. I have a test version you can try in the forum.

The main feature will be different formats of the theme. I’m mainly working on the “Blogging Edition” right now, the one that will run the comics as they are now, but also separately run blog/news posts on the main page.

As far as upgrading the CSS file will be pretty similar that you can copy and paste over your styles, it would just matter how much customizing you did of all the php files.

I’m in a similar situation with a webcomic launch pending… would you offer us a quick list of improvements in 2.0 so we can make the call whether to go for it or hold off? If I do go for 1.5 now, will the upgrade be pretty straightforward?

There is no set date, I have most everything I’m doing with it pulled together, I’ve just been so busy lately it’s just a matter of carving a chunk of time out of my schedule to finish it up.

Is there a target release date for Comicpress 2.0?

I’m chomping at the bit to redesign my site, but I don’t want to get into it until I see all the improvements your making…
