I should be okay until the new version, I’ve simply taken to linking them towards the strip archives for the time being and I don’t have anywhere near the visitor volume for it to be a serious gripe.

Hmm, try copying the file again, make sure it overwrote the existing one and that it is in the right folder. Also make sure you clear your cache if you are using the WP-Cache or SuperCache plugin.
