Coffman’s Friggin Comic Hosting Guide

DJ Coffman of Yirmumah, Hero By Night, Flobots and the Webcomic world in general has recently posted an eight-step guide (”Host your own Friggin Webcomic!”) on getting a host and setting it up with WordPress and ComicPress to get your comic online.

If you’re just getting started, be sure to go check it out.

Also of similar interest, Scott Story of Johnny Saturn has started a Web Wednesday feature on his site that covers setting up and maintaining a comic website. The second installment features a brief ComicPress setup as well as a list of the plugins he uses/recommends.

And for a more in depth guide, and if you haven’t already, go read ComicPress Manager developer, John Bintz’s three-part technical guide:

Thanks for sharing this link. I’m going to check it out now. From what little I know already, I just need help figuring out the PHP and MySQL side of things, both concepts alien to me.
