Welcome

Monday, November 14th, 2005

This area is where the comic creator can talk about this comic. About how he was eating a pizza while making it. And if he has some other topics to cover he can…

Make Another Heading

And talk about that other stuff here. You can make a larger or smaller new heading by using “
” or “
”. To create the heading above you would enter the following in your new post:

Make Another Heading

Or if you want it to stay on the front page you may want to post it in its own feature outside the news area here. Some comic creators don’t have much to say so in that case you can say nothing, just leave a title of the comic for easier finding of it in the archive… like this next comic…

Hm… How easy would this be to port to Drupal? I’d consider doing my comic site all in WordPress, but I need to have an option for paid subscribers to not see ads, and so far my research into WordPress hasn’t yielded any fruit in that area. Of course, in Drupal, none of the seemingly appropriate modules work to run a comic the way I want.
    *sighs*
Either way, I’m left trying to piece together a solution.

Sorry Rob, I’m not familiar with Drupal. Nor am I familiar with making a subscription “no ads” version of WordPress but maybe there is a plugin or something. I know one way to do it would be a protected directory on the server for the “no ads” version.

I just wanted to pop in and say hi… so… Hi!

Personally, I never use more than a single link in the comment I post because doing so can trigger spam catchers if the user has that plugin activated, whereas a single link will not.

Great comic theme. I have a friend who needs this and have sent him your way.

Hi, I’m the process of starting a web comic and am going to use Comic Press to do so, which is a fantastic theme for WordPress, BTW.

    BUT…

Is there a way to post and have an avatar or an image for the author of the post? Is this possible?
